This function uses depth information from the fish finder and GPS position information to display seafloor topography on the screen's map. When the seafloor undulations not shown on standard maps are depicted, excellent fishing spots become even clearer*. Based on the acquired depth data, the seafloor topography is displayed in different colors.

[NEW] From products shipped on or after April 1, 2025, the Depth Mapping® function's operable depth has increased from a maximum of 150m to a maximum of 300m.

*The Depth Mapping® function infers and displays seafloor topography based on depth measurements taken while navigating. It may differ from the actual topography.

■ Approximately 50 hours of data can be stored internally (※1)
(※1): When the recording distance interval is about 5m and boat speed is about 5 knots. Recording time may vary depending on settings and conditions such as boat speed. The shortest duration is approximately 18 hours.
■ 30 blocks of 1 block (approx. 50 hours) each can be stored in the internal map memory.
**Only 1 block can be displayed on the plotter screen.

The HE-8SII has a built-in GPS antenna.

Fish size display

The digital series has added a size display to the popular fish character function.
Sizes from 1 to 99 can be determined, and a "display/hide" one-touch function and a dual-screen display with the normal screen have been adopted to instantly check reactions in real-time images.

Fish depth display

The fish character display now includes the height from the seabed and the depth from the water surface (unit: meters).

Two-screen display on the same frequency

The fishfinder image for the same frequency can be split into two screens, and the sensitivity of each can be adjusted.
By comparing the two screens, you can set the optimal sensitivity.

Full-screen sensitivity adjustment

With conventional fishfinders, sensitivity changed from the moment it was adjusted, but with digital fishfinders, it is now possible to change the sensitivity on the screen (past records).
With this function, you can adjust the sensitivity while looking at the entire screen (past records), allowing even beginners to manually set clear images.

Heading sensor HD03 can be connected!

The heading sensor HD03 can be connected! You can ascertain the bow direction even when the boat is stopped, making it ideal for drift fishing!
