Uniquely Developed! HONDEX Clear CHIRP™ Fish Finder Equipped!

Conventional fish finders transmit sound waves into the sea at a single frequency and display the received signals as images.
In contrast, the CHIRP method transmits sound waves while gradually changing the frequency, and processes the received signals with special algorithms to display images.
This significantly improves resolution, allowing for clearer display of fish.

Furthermore, to realize this CHIRP technology, a dedicated broadband transducer capable of transmitting signals over a wide frequency range is required.
By developing both the main unit and the transducer in-house, we are able to achieve optimal settings and highly detailed images.

Broadband Transducers Compatible with Clear CHIRP™ Fish Finders

Broadband transducers for Clear CHIRP™ are available from TD320/TD340/TD361/TD380.
The frequencies are 90kHz to 140kHz for mid-CHIRP, 38kHz to 70kHz for low-CHIRP, and 130kHz to 220kHz for high-CHIRP.

HDX_TD

The HDX-12C also features a wideband mode! You can select the frequency.

In wideband mode, by connecting a broadband transducer, you can select frequencies in 5kHz steps for low, and 10kHz steps for mid and high. By selecting and changing the optimal frequency according to the fishing ground and fish species, it is also effective in reducing interference and noise from other vessels' fish finders.

The HDX-12C is equipped with various features unique to HONDEX fishfinders.

Fish Size Display

The digital series has added a size display to the popular fish character function.
You can judge by sizes from 1 to 99, and also quickly check reactions etc. with actual images using a one-touch "display/hide" function and a two-screen display with the normal screen.
*This function is only valid in fish mark mode. It can also be used within a 100m range.
*The numerical values of the size display may have errors due to various factors. Please consider them as reference values only.

Fish Depth Display

The fish character display now includes height from the seabed and depth from the sea surface (unit: m).
*This function is only valid in fish mark mode. It can also be used within a 100m range.

Dual-frequency display

The fishfinder images of the same frequency can be split into two screens, and their sensitivity can be adjusted separately.
By comparing the two screens, you can set the optimal sensitivity.

Full-screen sensitivity adjustment

With previous fish finders, changing the sensitivity would take effect from that point forward, but with digital fish finders, it is now possible to change the sensitivity on the screen (past records).
This feature allows you to adjust the sensitivity while viewing the entire screen (past records), making it possible even for beginners to manually set clear images.

Bright screen with wide viewing angle & bonded LCD

The display has a very high resolution of 800x600 dots, so even subtle responses and text are clearly visible.
In addition, the adoption of a high-brightness LCD (1000 candelas) provides excellent visibility in bright places such as direct sunlight.
Furthermore, the bonded LCD improves visibility and prevents condensation.

Built-in GPS antenna, compatible with monitor connection system

The HDX-12C has a built-in GPS antenna. *When using the built-in antenna, reception may not be possible depending on the installation location and method.
In addition, the HDX-12C can be connected to a monitor (no modification cost required), allowing the same screen to be displayed in a remote location on the ship.
