For Kawasaki 550
When Kawasaki designed the 550, they used an alloy wear ring with a stainless steel liner as a cost-saving measure. However, this design had a drawback: water could penetrate the liner, causing it to swell and separate from the aluminum.
This separation leads to impeller contact, causing wear and eventually blockages severe enough to prevent the ski from starting.
Kawasaki discontinued the original liners several years ago, making new ones unavailable.
Wax Racing Products' pump liners are made of stainless steel, eliminating the risk of swelling and blockages, and preventing propeller wear.
